A Fever

In the context of an election, anomalous data are reported numbers (e.g., votes cast, percentage changes, past precedents broken) that are so outside past experience, so beyond the mainstream, so unusual or unbelievable that they warrant an investigation. The presidential election conducted in early November has anomalous data associated with it. No just a little, not just a curious amount, but rather, a tsunami of anomalous data. A l-o-n-g list of anomalies (some implying outright voter fraud and others indicating that the results reported by voting authorities are implausible or close to impossible can be found at Here Is the Evidence.

And yet, the four constituencies dismiss it all as if these things happen every day. After all, their preferred candidate "defeated" the hated Donald Trump, so the result MUST be accurate and secure. Let the gaslighting begin.

But what exactly is this thing that we call "anomalous data." Here's a simple metaphor that might help. Let's say you take you own temperature and get a reading of 101.5F. Thinking you have a fever, you go to the doctor.  She retakes your temp and yeah, it's 101.5F. She then conducts a variety of tests that look at superficial things but never probe deeper. She claims there is nothing wrong. You feel sick and miserable, but the doc sticks to her claim. That's the equivalent of anomalous data. A temp of 101.5 is indicative of an infection or worse, and a fever is indicative of nothing is anomalous. It's unusual and concerning, and further investigation of why it's happening is warranted.

Our past election has a fever. It's not 101.5F. Rather, it's closer metaphorically to 103.8F and yet, the media and much of the Washington establishment simply shrugs their shoulders, and like the metaphorical doctor, tells us there's nothing wrong.

Paul Kengor discusses the recent revelation that approximately 574,000 votes were registered in the PA election late in the counting process. Of those votes, 570,000 votes were for Biden and 3,200 for Trump. That's anomalous data. Is it possible? I suppose, but is it reasonable—nope. The PA election officials have not deigned to offer a plausible explanation. Kengor also comments on other anomalies (with links in the original post)—all occurring in the middle of the night when observers had gone home:

For the record, likewise egregious voter spikes have reportedly occurred in Michigan, Georgia, and Wisconsin. One analysis has targeted these four incidents of “voter updates”:

1. An update in Michigan listed as of 6:31AM Eastern Time on November 4th, 2020, which shows 141,258 votes for Joe Biden and 5,968 votes for Donald Trump

2. An update in Wisconsin listed as 3:42AM Central Time on November 4th, 2020, which shows 143,379 votes for Joe Biden and 25,163 votes for Donald Trump

3. A vote update in Georgia listed at 1:34AM Eastern Time on November 4th, 2020, which shows 136,155 votes for Joe Biden and 29,115 votes for Donald Trump

4. An update in Michigan listed as of 3:50AM Eastern Time on November 4th, 2020, which shows 54,497 votes for Joe Biden and 4,718 votes for Donald Trump

Likewise, these incidents could have flipped the respective state into Joe Biden’s win column. I could go on and on.

All the same, election official in those states (the metaphorical doctor) tells us that the fever we see is harmless and that there's nothing to worry about.

Kengor concludes:

Could some reporter at some mainstream media outlet — one with a modicum of journalistic integrity and decency — pause to take some time to try to determine if these claims are accurate? Could just one “journalist” with access to Joe Biden ask for his reaction? How long would it take for Donald Trump to be grilled by a pack of ravenous reporters if Joe Biden had been potentially victimized like this?

And given that the media will not give these claims a hearing, could the U.S. Senate give them a hearing? There’s enough here that demands investigation.

Whether you like Donald Trump or not, whether you voted for him or not, this should concern every American. If this were Joe Biden being victimized, I would likewise protest. The media sure as heck would. This is not right.

It took them four years, but the will of the four constituencies will be served, even if "this is NOT right.
